Creating a new image
- Describe the main subject and what should be happening.
- Specify the setting, background and surrounding objects.
- Control composition, subject placement and amount of negative space.
- Request a visual direction such as photographic, illustrated, editorial, minimalist or cinematic.
- Describe lighting, camera position, lens feel and depth of field when useful.
- Give a colour palette and realism level.
- Specify the intended ratio, for example 1:1, 4:5, 3:2, 16:9 or 9:16.
Editing an image
- Upload or provide the image you want to change.
- Describe the exact object, region or visual property to modify.
- State what must remain unchanged.
- Ask to add, remove or replace objects.
- Change a background while preserving the foreground.
- Request a transparent background when appropriate.
- Ask for consistency with the existing lighting, perspective, texture and composition.
Typography & layout
